~~Request a subreddit~~

~~Make requests for new subreddits/communities here, using the name of the subreddit as the title, or with a link to the subreddit as the url.~~

~~For anything else, go to [email protected].~~

Requests for NSFW subs should be marked as such.

They often have nsfw thumbnails, and will show up unblurred on other servers.

Warning: Use common sense when requesting.

Comments are not copied over. So requests for explainLikeImFive or askMidgets are useless, since you'll never get the answers here. Also keep in mind that each sub you request here takes resources to process forevermore. So, you know, show some restraint.

Haven't done this before. I wanted to get these posts into /c/theyknew, is this the way?

Today i had a call with my mom where i was explaining how difficult the things are in canda regarding jobs, houses, cost of living etc and casually mentioned the fact that i intend on coming back home as soon as i finish studying here.

To this she said no one she knows has ever come back to india in her social circle and i would be the only one. And it would be an embarrassment for her to deal this fact. Hearing this made me feel useless. Because here i am living life one day at a time after leaving a decent job back home. The guilt of spending my parents money eating me away.

Idk man. Im confused. For the first time in my life i have no direction or purpose. And it's scaring me to death.

Edit -

Thanks for all the wonderful and supportive responses you all have given me. Honestly couldn't ask for more. I have made up my mind. I will go back home after i finish my studies and complete my work visa here. I love our country more so it shouldn't be a matter of discussion. Idc what my mom thinks

I feel like we really need something like this on lemmy, I've only been here a few months but I feel like the conversations about trans people are getting a little less friendly... we need a forum where people with genuine questions can go, or perhaps more importantly, a place where we can direct those questions.

I do not have the patience or mental shields to be a mod for something like this or I would make it myself
