These are the ones i have used

ProtonVPN - Probably the best all around. Good brand that focus on privacy and security, no option to choose locations.

Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 - Easy to use. Cloudflare is a huge company that builds internet infrastructure. No option to choose locations.

UrbanVPN - The VPN I am using now. Not focused on privacy or security but you have the option to choose locations and it's truly unlimited.

Ones I have heard of but not been able to use

HolaVPN - Unlimited but not available in my country so I have to use VPN to use this VPN.🤣

Tor - Maybe slightly complicated for beginners? I think I have used tor browsers and vpn before but no a smooth experience.

  1. Please mention other truly unlimited free VPNs here.
  2. Please mention if there is option to choose locations like US or outside US.
  3. Please avoid posting affiliate links for paid VPNs like the other subs and threads.
  4. Please avoid mentioning "you are the product", "nothing is free" lines like a robot.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for an Android phone specifically for installing APKs. I don’t plan to use it for demanding games, but mainly for cracked APKs of utility and productivity apps—like PDF editors, image-to-PDF converters, and similar tools. I might also use it for lightweight brain-training, reading, or GMAT prep apps.

I’m thinking I’d need at least 128GB of storage to avoid running out of space, and I’d prefer something that offers a smooth, lag-free experience. That said, I don’t want to overpay for features I won’t use.

What’s the best budget-friendly Android phone you’d recommend that fits these needs?

Thanks for any input.

So on all my previous installs of various linux distros ive always installed nordvpn and connected manually though the terminal. When looking at the drop down in qbit it offers me nordlynx. which is what i usually use. however ive just got a new laptop and have installed bazzitte. which i am quite enjoying to be honest. however when setting up qbit the drop down doesnt appear possibly because ive had to set up OPENvpn rather than nords app which doesnt jive well with bazzitte. any way to know which port to bind it to easiy

Hi, long time lurker first time poster

As lots of the streaming sites I've used have been inaccessible I'm glad I can find new links to sites where I can continue watching my shows

Most of them are older and I don't usually watch them on TV since I like to watch them sequentually like Monk and 24, Star Trek and Frasier. Lots of them that aren't usually doing reruns

I've found some on Youtube and fhat's great but I guess if it's old (Barnaby Jones 73-80) they're like meh

Concluding, thank you so much for helping me find new sites to watch my shows when they've disappeared

Much appreciated

ETA: Thank you to whomever told us about the Brave Browser. It's wonderful and must be protected at all costs

The next book in the series I want to read isn't available on any sites. It is on Kobo Plus though so I want to download and rip it from there but haven't been able to find anything online for how to do that. Does anyone know if it's possible?

The Weekly General Discussion Thread is for the r/Piracy community to discuss whatever is on their mind, whether it is related to digital piracy or not.

🪶 ➜ Follow the Rules

  • Rules are still applicable, so please do not request specific pirated content (ie. specific movie, book, etc.) and definitely don't link to any. Do not mention specific media names asking for help in finding them.

What is J2ME?

J2ME (Java 2 Micro Edition) is an old version of Java specifically designed for small, resource-limited devices like feature phones. J2ME opened new possibilities in mobile gaming since it was released in 1999.

Why Was J2ME Used in Mobile Game Development?

Back in the day, mobile phones didn't have the power and features of modern smartphones. They had limited memory, small screens, and lower processing power. J2ME was built for these kinds of devices, so it allowed developers to create games and apps that could run smoothly on these low-powered phones.

What are J2ME games?

J2ME games were mobile games developed for older feature phones. These games were typically simple, pixelated 2D games or cartoonish 3D games. Most J2ME games were simple 2D titles spanning genres like puzzles (Tetris, Sudoku, Chess), arcade (Pac-Man, Space Invaders), sports (football, basketball, racing), and action/adventure (platformers, side-scrollers), RPGs all designed with straightforward gameplay. They were usually rip-offs of popular PC games or web-based games.

What happened to them?

As smartphones evolved with more powerful hardware and advanced operating systems like iOS and Android, the popularity of J2ME and its games gradually declined. These games aren't available to buy anymore since they're gone from the market, and the platform they ran on is outdated. But if you asked the developers, they'd probably say it's illegal to use their IP for free.

Which OS did these phones use?

J2ME phones typically ran proprietary operating systems like Nokia's Series 30/40, Samsung's Bada, and Motorola's P2K for basic functionality. More advanced devices used Symbian OS (popular on Nokia smartphones) and Windows Mobile for smartphones with greater capabilities. Additionally, BREW (Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless) was used by some carriers and manufacturers for feature phones and mobile apps.

List of phones and their screen sizes-

The Sony Ericsson K800i was a gaming beast. Credits to gametechwiki.com.

Where do I find these games?

I would answer with only 2 links-

FMHY and the megathread doesn't have these links which sucks. But the good news is 99.9% of these games are preserved.

How do I run these games?

Unfortunately, these games cannot run on any modern OS. But emulators exist.

More details- List of J2ME Emulators.

What were the most popular J2ME games?

Snake (Nokia)

Tetris

Bejeweled

Pac-Man

Space Invaders

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Asphalt 4: Elite Racing

FIFA Mobile

Moto Racer

Need for Speed: Underground 2

Super Mario Bros.

Bounce

Angry Birds (J2ME version)

Chessmaster

Sonic the Hedgehog

Lego Star Wars

Zuma

Worms World Party

Shadow Fight

Mini Golf

Soon, I'd like to set up a seed bank, it's gonna have terabytes of storage and I would like to share my fiber optic gigabit connection :)

I'm thinking on using an old cheap Linux pc with qbittorrent running. Any advice or where I could find more info on setting up a seed-only system?

I'm out of the country at the moment and wanted to watch the new Dexter series on Sho-time.

Easy peasy right? Just download the Paramount Plus app, register and pay for a subscription that includes the Sho Time shows and be on my way!

Nope. First off the PP app wouldn't even load, claiming a server error. Ok cool, I'll try tomorrow because I'm tired anyways.

The app works now, go to register a new account, go to pay, enter my card details. Says transaction declined. Wtf. Realize it has something to do with my locale. Wth dude, just take my damn money . I'm not going to do a VPN trick because I told my bank I'm out of the country, so they expect charges from OUTSIDE the US, not in.

Proceed to stream it from a pirate stream site with no issues.

Unfortunately I'll probably still end up paying for PP because I want my viewership to actually count towards the actual viewing number, but God, these companies are run by total idiots.

I m new to this but. I've searched through sites and torrent websites for a specific Slovenian movie but no luck. I did my best for two days now and have not been able to find it. Any suggestions. Usually all the rare films I find on ok.ru or other sites but this one is impossible to find. They do sell it on dvd. But I don’t have a dvd player

I’m a bilingual so sometimes If I don’t find the movie with English subtitles, I’ll find it with Spanish subtitles and it works for me:). but this one is hard to find.
