This morning while in the kitchen, my roommate asked if he could have some of my peanut butter. I said sure but as he was putting it on bread, he put his fingers directly into the jar and pulled out a big scoop to lick from his fingers.

I told him that's nasty as hell and he should buy me a new jar. He didn't see what was wrong with it and refuses to buy me a new jar. He has used my peanut butter in the past so I probably have been eating his finger germs.

There I was at the VA getting my blood work and my face buried in my phone when I hear, "what the hell is that" followed by some giggles and more horrible comments.

I look up to see one of my battle buddies from the war walking by, she has since transitioned from Male to Female since leaving the military. She is also 100% disabled and rightfully so, we got shot at damn near every day over there.

I lose it and start cussing out the old timers and telling them they need to do better.

I get threatened by the VA police for causing a disruption.

Edit: My friend and I both live in the same city and go to the same VA. Lots of love and some hate, thanks I more or less just needed a space to vent!

She had a runny nose, earache, overall sickness… she was miserable. Why would I take her to school like that?

Also, COVID was just beginning to be a thing. No official declaration, but we were all asked to wear masks in the clinic (previously unheard of).

Mildly infuriated because I do care about people’s opinions of me. I am wearing pajama pants at the bar since I worked all night and didn’t get much sleep, so I was too lazy to change. A group of people saying that it’s “totally not right for a dude to wear sleeping pants out in public” I just ignored them and moved away from them but it’s very frustrating that some dudes care so much about my appearance that I can’t be comfortable with what I’m wearing. What’s with people constantly needing a reason to make fun of others?

Edit: clearly I didn’t realize the importance of taking care of my personal appearance beyond simply hygienic care. Went home for another shower and changed my clothes, back at the bar to hang out with my friends until they leave. Thank you for your input every1, even if I didn’t initially respond well to it.

Prime Member so checked GrubHub for the free delivery… just cannot bring myself to order, the prices are an unmasked joke. Most single items are several dollars more expensive than the actual cost. Just ****ing charge what the item costs and add your fee.

DoorDash is pure evil. Delivery drivers are (all?) lazy, show up late, leave food at the doorstep (we are no longer in covid times) without ringing the doorbell (bat shit insane), no one takes responsibility, DoorDash sure as hell doesn’t. I absolutely despise that when I order direct from some restaurants I find out they use DoorDash, and I sit there watch the ETA push back and back.

UberEats sucks too for similar reasons.

So now I gotta cook 😡

Guess which one of us spent all week in bed shivering dramatically, whining about how much pain they were in, and acting like any basic task took Herculean effort? Meanwhile, I had to go back to work the same day I had my procedure done 🙄🙄

UPDATE: This was meant to be a lighthearted joke about “man flu” that clearly upset a lot of people and turned into a whole thing. Apologies if the content crossed the line. I didn’t intend to be cruel. I don’t hate my husband. I was mildly irritated and thought I could make a joke about it here, but clearly it offended a lot of people, so I’m sorry. I genuinely didn’t intend to upset folks.
