A couple years ago my sister gave me some beats headphones as a gift.

A couple months into using them, they stopped charging. My sister emailed me the receipt to get them repaired. But like a lot of things my parents kept putting it off for months and months. Now I'm 18, so I'll have to pay out of pocket to get them fixed which will be expensive

In the span of a year between June 2023 and June 2024 my car insurance six month premium increased by about 50 percent despite no incidents during that time. As I’ve been led to believe premiums went up a lot due to lots of theft and what not in the city of Seattle in recent years. Then in August someone hit my car while it was parked out in front of my house and sped off without leaving a note or anything. They were never identified so my insurance ended up paying a significant portion for repairs due my “uninsured motorist” protection.

But now on my newest renewal bill, they didn’t raise my premium at all (not that it should when I wasn’t at fault). It makes me feel like it was just Geico’s corporate greed trying to prey on unaware customers for the previous 2 bill cycles like how internet providers do

I went to the urgent care since the doctors office is full today. I brought cash to pay the $40 fee, but they told me if I pay in cash I will be charged an additional $100.

I paid with my card, overdrawing my account. Then was told there was a wait behind walk-ins, despite me having made an appointment.

What a crazy world

I work at a fairly busy hospital and do a fair share of walking around the facility with many many twists and turns down hallways. Some on these corners have the semi-sphere mirrors that allow you to see around the corner, but most do not. Around 50% of the time when coming to a corner you aren't able to see around, I will nearly level a person taking an inside turn, and then they will look at me like I'm in the wrong. I know not everyone drives, but why do so many people just ignore the general rules of travel (I'm in the U.S. so walking on the right side of the hallway, etc)?

I just have to get this off my chest. I hate legos. Its all my boyfriend has asked for for Christmas. I hate the way the pieces get everywhere and when theyre built, all they do is sit there and take up space while collecting dust. Im not getting my boyfriend legos for Christmas because i know he'll get halfway through building and then leave them sitting in the same spot for over a month. Theyre unnecessarily expensive. Why am i spending over $50 on a small-medium sculpture made out of plastic that I myself have to put together using a guide book. Theyre so pointless and stupid. Im getting my boyfriend something for christmas that will make him forget that i didnt get him any legos. I get that they might be a source of joy for some, and im not trying to take that away from him, but knowing how much they piss me off, im not setting myself up for failure by buying him any.
