We've called the police and animal control over and over again during these 2 years.

Animal control has very few workers for the entire county, and apparently close sometime around 8pm, which is the majority of the time their dog escapes, almost like they plan it.

So typically it's the police that come, most don't really care too much. In fact, the last group of police that came told us the neighbors are allowed on our private property even with "No Trespassing" signs up, any time they want if the reason is because their dog is loose, despite it happening for TWO YEARS, like they intentionally do it so they can trespass. We were also told that any photo or video evidence doesn't prove anything. Like wtf?

The few times we actually catch animal control, we've had ONE, ONE total time they actually got a couple of fines given to them. Any other time, not a thing. This last time, they were given yet another warning because "it's the holidays". And now, a few weeks after that, their dog came over and killed ANOTHER cat, this is at least 3 now that occured on our property. Who knows if they've killed anyone else's cats, or chickens or whatever.

This is absolutely ridiculous and it seems like we have no options at all

So, my dad and I went shopping for my mom's Christmas gifts on the 24th since he was off and I don't drive. Anyway; on the way home he decided he wanted to visit his mom, who I recently told that the next time she would see me was at her funeral (long story, don't ask.).

"I thought you would like to see her for Christmas?"

I told my dad exactly what she'd said to me this past June about how she blamed my mom and her mother for me not liking her, despite the fact that SHE excluded me from many childhood events.
