20F here, worked hard in university and secured a job as a campus hire into a top consulting firm. All goes down the drain as the company changes my role and my location a week before my joining date. (Yes, I work in India, labour laws are non existent, they'll get a replacement in seconds). They changed my role from finance to data entry, basically enter addresses 9 hours a day.

I feel miserable, they won't let me transfer internally and the HR doesn't care. I'm expected to stay in this project till 2027. I feel like trash that they decided to toss around. My career is ruined as soon as it started, I will never get the relevant experience to move to another job, not in this economy or the country I live in. Manager hasn't given me a leave in 8 months and blocks trainings so I can't find other opportunities or learn new things so I can shift, he wants to retain his employees as much as he can.

How do I keep myself motivated to upskill myself and keep looking for other jobs. I try and try but seeing rejection mails everyday just drains me out. I cant get over the pain and regret, I worked so hard to get the role I wanted just for them to toss me into something else. Anything would be helpful to keep my sanity. I know I'm young I have my whole life ahead but I just can't spend a day feeling like I'm worthless now, it hurts and it's exhausting.

I don't have great legs or feet. This was the first job that wasn't on call, is close to home. Just would like to hear your experiences powering through for a few weeks or however long, words of wisdom, how sore were you before and after but kept going back as long as you could. Thanks

I am looking for real life examples of paractising confidence and self love to exit out of my bubble. It feels like these things are all in my head and I dont know how to chanel them outwards to be able to say I made progress in real world. I feel like doing more action and less thinking could get me far in shorter amount of time.
