Chrome is normal. no matter how much I try, I can't adjust the settings to fix it. most of the page is black and unreadable and white or black text is now blue.

This is the webpage so you can see what it looks like normally. Download and install or reinstall Microsoft 365

Let's say I have 6 Firefox windows opened. If I go to my Windows taskbar and hover over Firefox, it will show those 6 windows in the order I opened them. If I were to save the session and close Firefox, when I open it again and it restores the 6 windows, it will still arrange them in the same manner regardless if i clicked on a window or not before closing session...

Usually, in Chrome if i have 5 open windows in random order such as 1 2 3 4 5 > if i click on window 5 and 3 > then close chrome > then open chrome and have it restore previous session > it will pull latest used windows to the right > so order becomes 1 2 4 5 3.

Essentially, I want the Windows taskbar for Firefox to mimic what happens when I press and hold Alt and press Tab, where Windows shows me all my open windows/files from most recently used to least used.

I hope this made sense lol

Currently CTRL+SHIFT+W is "close all tabs in this window". A function you can do by just continuing to hit that W button while holding down control.

Close all tabs could be CTRL+ALT+W, a key combo that apparently currently does nothing anyway.

And CTRL+SHIFT+W should really be, "re-open last closed tab" (and if you keep pressing W while holding CTRL+SHIFT it should just keep re-opening previously closed tabs in order, and maybe CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+W might re-open a whole bunch of tabs, maybe re-open all closed tabs ?)

I have to regularly switch between Ubuntu and Windows but I've noticed the font used for reddit is different.

These were taken on old.reddit.com with the Firefox CSS turned off.

I much prefer the font from Ubuntu and would like to use it on Windows too.

I went into the font settings on Ubuntu and saw it was using DejaVu Serif (settings, advanced).

I have installed these fonts on Windows and changed the settings (settings, advanced), but the font hasn't applied, even when restarting with add-ons disabled.

Is there anything I'm missing or not doing correctly?

Okay so there is this awful movie which is a collaboration between an Italian and French studio. It is called "Affreux et mΓ©chants" in french and "Ugly Nasty People" in english.

I can't find this movie anywhere, paid or free or piracy, i found it literally nowhere. If you guys find any way of watching this movie in another language than Italian I would kill to have it

Hello! I am an absolute noob in 3D printing, but I’m a furniture designer and it happens that I’m currently working on a lamp and will make prototypes by 3D printing my models. I found this video and the shade of these lamps are very similar to what I need for mine so I wanted to ask what material/ technique is he using to make those so said shades and especially to get that translucent look?

The protest has never ended. We have been trying to communicate with Reddit admins, who seemed at first to be willing to talk to us, but we are only getting the silent treatment and threats to reopen the subreddit.

β€Œ

Despite the fact that we were asked what our concerns were and shared them 12 days ago, we haven't received ANY response from them after that, complete silence for almost two weeks and counting. So it appears that the reddit admins are not acting in good faith and aren't discussing this with us. They are relying only on vaguely worded threats.

β€Œ

Those who know the subreddit and have been here for a long time know that it has been actively moderated for years in order to maintain a positive environment. We don't wish to let the subreddit fall into the hands of someone who would undo the good work we have done or would even foster an anti-Mozilla community here.

β€Œ

Thus, we have reopened the community for now. All legacy technical posts will remain available so that searching for help related to the browser is still available, but henceforth and until the reddit admins appropriately reply to our concerns, the only new submissions allowed will be ones that contain the cuddly fuzzy little animals from which the subreddit indirectly received its name:β€Œ

β€Œ

The red panda! Also known as fire foxes.

β€Œ

If you are looking for technical posts, we now have an official community on Kbin. Keep in mind that Lemmy also federates with Kbin. We continue to be around on Matrix as well.

β€Œ

For technical posts, see:

β€Œ

β€Œ

Stay here for cute fire fox pictures and videos!

As it is the end of the month tomorrow, we can't say what the future holds for reddit. Browser-related posts will be allowed on this subreddit at a later point in time, presumably when the reddit admins have replied to concerns appropriately or addressed to all subreddits site-wide. Some of the developers of tools that we rely on have already thrown in the towel, so whatever happens to reddit, it definitely won't be what reddit used to be.
