I am considering hosting a Friendica instance but want to know if there are any forks that improve the user experience so I do not have to migrate later.

Question: If you already have one fediverse account, eg. Mastodon, and you want to use another service eg. Friendica, do you need to make another separate account on an instance of Friendica? I understand you can follow your Mastodon self from Friendica, but otherwise, these are two separate accounts, as if you were two different people? And so on, if you want to be on pixelfed, etc. Or am I missing something?

I'm looking for a way to share photos with close friends and family, that ideally doesn't require them to have a fediverse account i.e. I'd like to be able to just send them a link. And I'd like the viewing of the photos to be very simple and user friendly for older, non tech savvy family members. Is there a great fediverse option for this?

How well does Fediverse integration actually work between servers on different platforms? Like, if I make an account on a Firefish server, will my interactions with users and posts on Mastodon servers be as seamless as if I was using Mastodon, or am I better just using Mastodon if I want to join in with the larger community? Firefish seems to have more features than Mastodon so how would my interactions look to users on there?

I was trying not to get snot everywhere so I accidentally closed my nose and forgot to open my mouth. At first my throat hurt and my ear hurt a lil but now my left ear has been hurting all day. I was having a good day too, this sucks

well i was trying to literally follow their docs a few times, but got lost during the process. so i wonder if there's any instructions to easier follow, like, for a total newbie?

i'm looking for a service provided for non-tech like weingaertner-it.de/index.php/produkt-kategorie/calckey-hosting also. but they only accept eu citizens as clients. any suggestion for other alternative sites please?

Are you aware of a software project to create some sort of distributed Google? Relying on ActivityPub or some other protocol ?
