I am not very crafty but was wondering what the process looked like of turning an object I already own into something I can 3d print. For example: Maybe I was want to replace a broken piece on my sodastream or coffee maker etc.

Where would I start what would I do? Sorry if a bit vague.

I have a ton of print scraps I saved over the past year (about 2 storage boxes). I wanted to donate it or recycle it and I was try to find somewhere I could drop off instead of shipping. I live in Maryland. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.
