Hey :)

I'm rapidly running out of shelf space for my LEGO, so I want to start wall-mounting all my LEGO SW starships, etc. What are the best self-3D-printable solutions for the following ships / planes:

  • Yoda's Jedi Starfighter 75360
  • Obi-Wan Kenobi's Jedi Starfighter 75333
  • Ahsoka's Starfighter 7751 (Just the ship, not the droid)
  • Jedi Bob's Starfighter 75388
  • Supersonic Jet 31126 (The Jet build)

Thank you in advance!

Before doing so, I’m worried about print size and going with too small of a printer.

My biggest purpose for the printer is to make organizers for drawers, toolboxes and such. As an example I want to make inserts for my 26”x18” toolbox drawers.

Question being, how difficult is it, or how creative do you have to get to connect prints together and such, if you’re printer cannot just make large prints enough to start?

Any other advice on starter machines or beginner resources would be appreciated!

Buying my first printer, will be printing in the house in a spare room. I expect to eventually be printing filaments that would benefit from the P1S enclosure, but likely not when I'm first starting out. I also am not planning on getting the AMS to start.

Is it worth it to just spring for the P1S from the start, or get the P1P and maybe some extra filaments to play with until I have actual need for the enclosure? I have no issue doing teardown/assembly to install the enclosure, cable chain, etc.

I’d really like to print a set of Gridfinity baseplates for the Husky workbench I’m using as a desk. Someone has created the files already over at Printables, but it’s for a large printer like the Prusa XL. I only have an A1 mini, and I’m trying to see if anyone would be willing to help me modify the files to work with my printer. I’m assuming I’ll need to break the current 7 plates into more, smaller plates, but I’m honestly not sure how to do that. If anyone would be willing/able to help me out, I’d greatly appreciate it. If this is something that I’d be better off starting from scratch and/or trying to pay someone to design the files, please feel free to let me know. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help point me in the right direction.

Hello, i got kind of gifted a BASF 3kg 316L metal filament spool.. and now thinkering about what i should try out with it... I own a Bambu A1 that should be able to extrude it into "green parts"

For brief reminder this filament is meant to be 3D printed before beeing heat sintered then become a stainless steel part.. That sick !

You need to buy coupons to send your 3D print to be processed to a factory

The whole process pose two main issue, first the print size look to be limited to à maximum to 100x100x100mm. Then the part would shrink a lot, (around 20%) during the process of sintering.. That would make parts with critital dimensions quite hard to make..

More about the process :

Due to costs and limitation it's a bit hard to found a "perfect" usage for this filament. I would'nt like to waste it in some Benchy you know.. Mecanical parts like gears would be nice, but the shrink tolerance make me feel like it's a lost quest to expect fall into expected dimension at the end.. If someone experienced here could share tips and realisation that would be insanely cool !

Soooo maybe standalone part without too too much critical dimensions required would probably be the easier type of print to start with. By the past i've made machined some custom tools for alpinism and climbing.. Maybe this could be a cool usage to try to make insanely lighwheigt mountainering gear ?

Anyway let me known what's would you like to make of stainless steel ?!
