Does anyone know how to change the z offset on the Bambu A1? Can i change it in the orca slicer?

I've tried to find an answer and no one has been able to help.

Help me choose a 3D printer for my needs!

Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a new 3D printer and could use some advice. In my country, I have these options available for roughly the same price:

Bambulab A1 Mini AMS

Bambulab A1 (no AMS) for 20% more

Anycubic Kobra 3 AMS

Ender 3 V3 Plus

Artillery Sidewinder X4 Plus S1 for 20% less

Here’s my situation:

I mostly print small, single-color parts right now.

In the future, I plan to print larger, single-color pieces (a 300x300 bed would be ideal). The A1 bed size could work with some adjustments.

I’m debating whether to save money and go with the A1 Mini (no AMS), but this would limit my ability to grow my business in the near future.

What would you recommend? Is it worth going for the larger build size or sticking to smaller, more affordable options? Appreciate your insights!

I just got a new 3D printer, specifically the Neptune 3 Pro, and I've heard some things about them creating harmful fumes. I was just curious if this is true and I should use it in my garage or something with much ventilation.

To start I sorted by hot and did not see the megathread on mobile.

Hey! I'm thinking of upgrading from my A1 Mini (which I love!) to something bigger. I've been eyeing the regular A1 and the FlashForge Adventurer 5. With the larger printer i would only be doing single filament colors rather than multi. The A1 seems like the obvious choice since I'm already familiar with bambu’s products, but the Adventurer 5 has a bigger build plate and prints faster. Plus, it's a CoreXY printer.

I'm stuck in the middle and cant really decide so im looking for people who have the a1 and or the ffa5

Anyone have any experience with either of these, or have any advice on which one I should go for?

When the printer is homing, or a print is starting, the x and y axes will home. After that, the x and y axes go to the center. And stop moving. The controls also stop working. The controls work once we turn it off and on.

Things we have tried:

  1. unplugging and replugging the display to try get controls to work

  2. unplugging and replugging everything

The original motherboard broke. We replaced it with a silent motherboard, which worked for a few prints and then burnt out. We then replaced it with another silent motherboard, and we have had this issue ever since.

Is this necessarily a new motherboard? Is there something else? Is it an issue with silent motherboards? Any other solutions? Thanks!

I’ve had a 3 Plus for about a month now. It initially worked great and was very easy to use, the prints came out near perfect.

The nozzle clogged one day so I went to remove it, and it broke in the threads so I was sent another unit by elegoo. I changed the nozzle to hardened steel right off the bat and for a short time, it worked alright with some stringing. It’s currently at the point where the prints are always spaghetti, the levelling seems always off, and I just can’t get it to work right. I just tried to recalibrate the bed and the motors made a grinding noise so I immediately turned it off. Find below my attempts to fix so far:

-tuning e-steps value -cleaning nozzle and print bed with damp soapy rag -loosening the bed adjustment nuts and recalibrating multiple times -re tightening the nozzle at temperature -checking belt tensions -resetting cura slicer settings to default like it originally was

If anyone can help me get my machine to work again I will be massively grateful and at this point will pay to have it work properly again 🙃

I'm building a ruined snowscape battlefield for Warhammer 40k themed around the Space Wolves. I found an STL file of Leman Russ that I would like to use as a centerpiece of this terrain piece.

Would anyone be happy to help me print it out and send it to me? I'd be happy to pay for the materials and postage.

Thanks in advance!
