@vladimir_lu Off the top of my head: (a) Weather (b) Auto time-zone (c) auto light/dark mode based on sunrise/sunset.

Oh, and, location (maps) and directions.

@[email protected] I’m on 46.4 – so they likely removed that.

Is Google implemented in 47?

Ah, this is because Mozilla Location Services is dead (I guess it wasn’t AI enough). And now GNOME are considering Google – because, why not? Nothing wrong with Google, amirite?

Really love how GNOME Settings links to this excellent page on Mozilla’s privacy policy for location data.

I can’t believe they canceled this cancer conference for adopting Mozilla’s business model.

@[email protected] Yep :)

Will likely try to experience the others also. Although… it’s going to be hard given how much you come to care about the characters.

It’s 2:30AM here and I just finished The Forgotten City by Modern Storyteller. What a beautiful experience that was.

Native support for ed25519/x25519 in the browser would be a huge step forward for in-browser/client-side cryptography.

Looks like Google is holding up our ability to use it in production.

(Firefox and Safari both have support enabled by default.)

“Cyclist who gave gardaí footage of drivers’ misdeeds issued fine as it showed him running red light”

https://jrnl.ie/6484410

Spoiler alert: none of the drivers in the footage were prosecuted. An internal investigation found the garda member neglected their duty but the Garda Chief Superindent quashed the finding.

@Tupp_ed Yeah, and the persisted perks and different stages really keep it moving. Twice now I’ve made it to almost half an hour (both times dying at 29m something seconds on the library stage…)

@[email protected] I believe it’s originally a PC game and the PlayStation port is rather recent.

Stumbled onto a game called Vampire Survivors on the PlayStation and, well, it’s addictive, to put it mildly. Amazing game mechanics. (And I don’t usually enjoy rougelikes.)

@DodoTheDev @Lokjo @librewolf @Vivaldi Yeah, although I just read that they’re using the manipulative “Maybe later” pattern in at least one of their dialogs so that would be a good thing to fix for the future (I’m using Vivaldi too as my default browser.)

The opposite of “Yes” is “No”, not “Maybe later.”

@Aaron @[email protected] @[email protected] Yes, to non-private defaults. Let’s put it this way: if Firefox’s defaults respected your privacy, Mozilla would go bankrupt tomorrow.

@[email protected] @[email protected] Very cool. Here’s hoping to see this in @gnome one day too.

PS. I’m sure you’re aware of it but, just in case, the window positions/dimensions appear to be lost on the restart. (An issue I have on GNOME too whenever it returns from suspend.)
