According to Google Trends, during the past few years, there has been nothing but a few minor bumps that faded away as quickly as they came. I love RSS because i do not have to scroll through dozens of different news sites all day and i would love it to return.

EDIT: Typical case of people only reading the headline. I was asking why people are hyped over something that did NOT happen.

The German state already has its own instance (social.bund.de). Our federal commissioner for data protection and freedom of information already recommended our chancellor to switch to Mastodon, but he declines every time and his office insists on putting screenshots of his tweets on their website.

Typisch. Dass es die Schuld von E-Autos gewesen sein könnte, haben jetzt alle gehört. Mal zusehen ob alle auch mitbekommen werden, dass dies doch nicht der Fall war...

It hasn't been confirmed by the admins, but strongly implied. Recently there have been some instances that lemmy.world defederated from. They are the suspects.

Thing is, these terrorists aren't trying to destroy the fediverse, they are trying to retaliate specifically against lemmy.world

Finally, this is something Linux is severely lacking. Every Android phone today comes with screencast integrated. Connecting it to any projector with WiFi capability is no issue at all.

Reddit might have won, but i definitely did too. It made me finally leave Reddit and got me here. And who knows, perhaps one day Reddit will drown in its enshittification enough for it to vanish into nothing but the great history of the internet. Then, at last, we will still be here.
