Now, I don’t make a habit of quoting holy books, but it certainly can have some absolute zingers if you know even A LITTLE of its content and can spot hypocrisy.
I don't get it. Says "do not be like the hypocrites" but then says gOdd rewards the hypocrites.
The way I read it, J-Bro tells his homies that the only reward people who only pray to show off to others will get is the knowledge that others have seen them pray, nothing more.
What it actually is saying is that all that showing off IS their reward and God isn't going to do anything for them. To be fair, God isn't doing anything for anyone, so I guess you might as well put on a good show.
This, minus that last sentence.
