I've thought a bit about this lately. There's efforts to classify deepfake use as a sex crime, and apparently seeing your own can be traumatising, but at the same time there's a whole continuum. Deepfakes - fan art - fan fics - impure thoughts. Few people want to ban them all, even if it was practical which it isn't, but it's also hard to tell someone that people should be allowed making fucked-up porn starring them.

I've yet to hear an actual philosophical argument about where the line should be. It's nice to see a discussion, at least, rather than just rhetoric.
